Wanderlust – The Florida Keys

“Wanderlust – a strong desire to wander and explore the world”.

It is nice to see that from all languages in this world it is a German word that stands for the desire to travel. So why am I surprised that I have the ultimate travel bug – and the endless desire to venture and explore new places, cultures and people – near and far? I’m a backpacker, an adventurer, a bit of a hippie and a free spirit – and every so often I have this urge to spread my wings and fly.

Last year, one of these little trips took me to the Florida Keys and for 4 days I soaked up all the the sun I could get, relax, explored and wander. I thoroughly enjoyed the lively atmosphere in Key West, the many talented street artists, seeing the animals like chickens and deer roaming the streets and the colorful Flora.  For some relaxation, we also enjoyed the tranquility of the beaches.
