Congratulations Anna and Sam! It was a pleasure getting to know you and we feel honored we got to photograph your beautiful wedding day on film. May the sun always shine in your face and may you continue to write the sweetest notes, letters and love statements to one another. Your wedding vows in the rose garden were beautiful and so special. Wishing you lots of love and happiness always!
“When I first saw you I fell in love and you smiled because you knew.” – William Shakespeare
All I need to be happy is sand under my feet, wind in my hair, salt on my skin and you by my side… forever and ever!
Ashley and Tim are some of the most easy going and laid back people I have ever met – and their love for one another is more than obvious – just look how they gaze at each other!
They love the water, sailing and beaches, and enjoy good seafood, times spent with friends and live music. When planning their wedding, they combined all these elements and passions perfectly – making it an authentic and fun experience for all their guests. Tim had re-build a beautiful old wooden sail boat – which they sailed of in at the end of the night. One of the many highlights of their wedding celebration was the original lobster bake – which was a true experience for everyone.
Ashley and Tim, may you enjoy many great adventures together – and may the wind, water and sails bring you to many amazing places. Congratulations!!

A few weeks ago I was lucky to have a chance to capture a few moments of my friends Tim and Steph and their baby daughter Emilia. This young family is so full of love – it’s a pleasure to watch them. Congratulations Steph and Tim – may you always be as happy and so in love as you were during our mini lifestyle session.

Begegnung – is a very powerful yet kind and gentle word in German that cannot be easily translated into English. It means to meet someone who touches your heart and soul, to spend some time together, to be inspired by the other, to connect and to learn about this person you meet. It is so much more than a meeting. Yet much less formal. It’s a lot more personal, spiritual and it has more meaning and depth. It can change you. Lift you up. Move you. Make you think. And it will always leave a mark in your heart. Create a memory. Become a part of you.
And sometimes, when you have a “Begegnung” with person you just know that you are meant to be friends, to connect, to exchange your thoughts and to enjoy each others company to the fullest. In this very moment. Most importantly, you know you can just be yourself. No need to proof something or pretend to be stronger than you are. That’s the real deal. And it doesn’t take more than a few minutes to know if you have that connection with someone. It’s almost instant. Bang.
Sweet Kina is one of these special people to me. We met at the Photo Field Trip in Santa Barbara – and connected – instantly. I immediately felt comfortable around her. As if I had known her for a long time. But we just met.
Needless to say that after field trip we were not ready to part ways yet – and decided to spent a wonderful day in the Mountains of Santa Ynez together. Relax. Enjoy the views, the light, the silence. Laugh. Be silly. Feel alive. Reflect. And yes – we did bring our cameras to take some photos of each other. For fun. No pressure. Just to enjoy us and our art. We celebrated life that day. Simple as that.
My sweet friend Kina – these images are for you. To remember our day together. I hope these will make you happy and inspire you to follow your dreams. Always!
