So excited to share this ga-ga-gorgeous nautical engagement session here on the blog tonight. I love when my clients listen to my recommendations and not only get their hair and make-up done for their session but also bring some flowing, fun, soft clothing. Rebecca’s dress was so fun to photograph – and it gently hugged her body in the light breeze. And how handsome does Adam look dressed up!? After the “work” was done it was time to change into more casual clothing to play with the dogs and run on the beach. A big hooray to a lovely and fun e-session with lots of laughter, love and joy.
A colorful fall wedding in Milford
I am swooning over the bridal portraits from Sarah and Justin’s wedding day – this early fall. It was such a perfect and sunny day – everything just got sun kissed. So pretty! Sarah and Justin – thank you so much for making us part of your wonderful and love filled day! I am wishing you lots of love and happiness.
Also, many thanks to Fiona for 2nd shooting and for Ivan for assisting/3rd shooting. You guys are the best!
Laura and Chris have spend many summer days together on beautiful Martha’s Vineyard – so it was just natural that they wanted to get their engagement photos taken on this quaint and charming island. So in mid September, on a gorgeous day – I took a ferry to MV to meet with these two love birds. Time flew by way to fast as we drove around. I had scouted a few locations the day I arrived – and Chris also had a few spots in mind which meant a lot to him and where he wanted to take some pictures. Towards the evening, black clouds rolled in – and we got a few photos on the beach in just before the rain and thunder came. I could have spent another couple hours capturing Laura and Chris’s love – but I know we will have more time on their wedding day – I can’t wait. Thank you guys for being so lovely to work with – and thanks for the delicious glass of wine, too.

Love and Lavender
Lauren and Alex got married at the beautiful Wainwright House in Westchester County, NY this late summer. And while it was nice and sunny on their wedding day, a strong breeze was blowing from the water right as we got ready for the ceremony – adding a few extra challenges and excitement to the day. I loved the lavish lavender Chuppah that Ann from Dirt Floral had created for the bride and groom – it reminded me a lot of the French country side.
Thanks to a small bridal party (yup – I truly enjoy small bridal parties – in case you have not noticed yet – lol) , no driving and a generous timeline, we had a great amount of time for the getting ready as well as to capture wonderful bridal portraits on film. And everyone had fun while we did so. The little flower girl totally stole my heart during the formals time - and I could not resist capturing a few extra frames of her, her innocent smile and her big brown eyes – topped by a gorgeous lavender flower wreath. I mean really?! It does not get much cuter – of that I am sure.
Lauren and Alex had a wonderful, intimate wedding under the big white tent – overlooking the river and I feel blessed and honored that I got invited to be part of their special day and capture all these wonderful moments for them and their loved ones.
Congratulations you two – and many thanks go out to your lovely families and sweet friends who made this day a wonderful and happy experience for everyone.
A list of all wedding vendors will follow soon.
Kate and Parker got married with the ocean breeze in their hair, sand between their toes and the sound of a guitar in the air. What a dream beach wedding.
Kate and Parker envisioned an intimate beach setting for their wedding with their closest friends and family. They didn’t want a fancy ballroom wedding but instead dreamt about being barefoot on a beach – with sand between their toes – having a fun and relaxing vibe – and just a good time with their friends. Well – they for sure made their dream come true – and so much more.
Kate + Parker used to live in the Caribbean for a while – and I assume this is where Parker picked up the recipe for his famous Caribbean BBQ sauce – which he gave away to every guest as a favor.
The steel drum band which played during cocktails created a cheerful vibe of the islands – right in Stratford, CT. Kate’s brother then played the guitar for the ceremony, and the bonfire on the beach was perfect to grill some marshmallows over as a midnight snack. As another wonderful highlight, Kate’s mom and dad surprised them with an amazing fireworks show. What a romantic grand finale to a magical day on the beach.
Congratulations Kate and Parker – may you always have your feet in the sand, your heads in the clouds and the sun shine into your faces. XOXO!

Beach Wedding at New Haven’s Lighthouse Point and Carousel
Photographing Angie + Anthony’s wedding at the Lighthouse Point Park was a true blast. Angie has a lot of creative energy which she used to create all of her decor and details for the wedding – of course with the help of Anthony and other family members. While Angie is outgoing and bubbly, Anthony is a true gentlemen and has a very calm nature. Working with these two has been a lot of fun – and I wish them only the best for their life together. I know it will be full of fun surprises and romantic get aways.
A rustic irish-american wedding in Lake Placid, NY
Sara and Bryan are some of the most humorous and genuine people I know. Their laughter is contagious and where ever Sara shows up with her endless energy, enthusiasm and outgoing personality, the sun shines and there is an automatic happiness in the air – no matter how dark and rainy the day or mood. These two know how to have fun and certainly don’t take them selves to serious. So needless to say being around these two is simply amazing and fun. So I was not surprised to see Sara’s bright yellow nail polish and the sparkling All Stars – not to see the groom and his groomsmen in kilts. They even got a mini kilt for Zach the cutest ring bearer ever!!
For many years, Sara and Bryan have visited Lake Placid in the summer – to attend the Can-Am Rugby tournament – and they have fallen in love with the rolling mountains, the people and the atmosphere of this little town. So when it came to choosing a location for their wedding – the decision was quickly made to celebrate in the place they have come to love and enjoy so much in the past years. And it went perfectly with their theme of a kilted wedding. The pattern of the kilts they choose is the Shanahan Tartan – which is the family patterns of Bryan’s family. What a great way to include family roots and traditions.
Thank you Sara and Bryan for letting me capture your wedding day. It was a true pleasure to celebrate your special day with you!
