Lauren and Alex where an absolute delight to work with! Lauren had gotten her hair and make-up done the morning of the e-session and had spoiled Alex with a massage – so they both were relaxed and happy when I got to their super cute little place in Stonington and felt good about themselves. So we started wandering the streets of this cute costal town, shooting away. After a while I asked them to go for a ride with me – because I had seen some cute spots to shoot on my drive down – a pretty Magnolia tree as well as a stony wall by the water. Lauren and Alex were up for anything, which was fantastic! Thank you both for being so amazing to work with and for trusting me when I put you in the middle of these dead looking grasses just by the road. Love the pictures we got there!! XOXO

eA gorgeous late summer wedding at the Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park, CT.
I am finally getting around to blogging this gorgeous wedding I got to capture with Brooke of Brooke Allision Photo at the amazing Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park. I am still very much in love with the stunning flowers, the lovely cake and of course with the venue. On top of it we got to work with a super laid back couple – which made this day extra nice! Dear mom,
….It is on days like today – where the sun is shining, birds are singing in the sky and happy clouds are flying by – where I wish you were closer and we could sit out here together with a coffee and just chat, be silly and dream about the future – or plant beautiful flowers in the yard. Yet, you are hundreds of miles away – most likely having dinner right now. I know that dad spoils you today on this special day – and that the two of you are enjoying a day that is just as gorgeous! And that thought makes me happy!
There are no words to express how thankful I am for you – for your endless love and support. You are always there for me – no matter how far and it is very comforting to know. And no matter how crazy my ideas and dreams are – I know you will listen and stand behind me – always! I am well aware that not everyone is as lucky as I am and I just want to say thank you and that I love you with all of my heart. I cannot wait to see you in a few weeks. Thank you for making my world go round and for being such a great support!

DIY Wedding Favors
Here is a little step by step DIY Idea for cute burlap wedding favors for your guests. Can be used as place cards, too.

Step one: Buy the materials
Step two: Cut the burlap, fold it and stitch the two sides to create little bags. I have been using some loose burlap strings as yarn.
Step three: Create the thank you tags (or name tags if you decide to use these as place cards). I love a pretty stamped tag, but you can clearly use any kind of cute tag. I bought this particular stamp of Etsy. However, JoAnn’s Fabric and Michaels also carry Thank You stamps.
Step four: Attach the tag to the burlap bag
Step five: Fill the bags with flowers or whatever you want to really. It might be cute to include a little sack of seeds – for your guests to plant at their homes for example.

Middleton Plantation and Stables, Charleston, SC
Middleton Plantations & Barns just North of Charleston, SC offer horseback rides on trails that take you thru the grounds of the plantation and along a pond – giving you the opportunity to see the woods, oaks, all sorts of birds as well as lots of alligators. So for Ivan’s birthday in the end of February we decided to go and try out this fun activity. I had my contax in the car – so after we returned from the trails I couldn’t resist to snap a few photos of the gorgeous live oaks with the pretty spanish moss, the beautiful flowers and off course I had to capture the birthday boy as well.

Cape Cod love story – from land to sea

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to capture the love of Kara + Jeff. Brooke of Brooke Allison Photo and I drove all the way to beautiful Cape Cod to capture these gorgeous moments of a wonderful relationship. And it was totally worth it! And Kara + Jeff? Well, they are head over heels in love and I swear they forgot that we were there more than ones. Wink wink.
